The New 42% is our next step in 40% class of aircraft. The Extra has been designed with the latest techniques to save weight while still being a strong aircraft that anyone can enjoy. Its mid wing design gives it outstanding flight characteristics and gives you a more precise feel.
With its advanced airfoil designs on all flying surfaces the 260 has exceptional rolling and snapping characteristics while at the same time giving it awesome flight tracking and downline speeds. The Extra 260 was designed for highest levels of IMAC and 3D competition and has proven to be an exceptional aircraft
The Extra 260 includes Carbon gear, wheel pants, carbon wing tube and tail tube to keep the airplane light and strong. In times where many pilots are loosing there flying sites the smart design of the Extra 260 allows gives the option for JTEC QC120 canisters or for JTEC HP90 full length tuned pipes to help keep noise down and keep your flying site safe.
